Principal Strategist, CTO Office (2011-Present)                           

·         Responsible for the company Big Data Strategy formulation and innovation

·         Led the Big Data Analytics Strategy and technical architecture design for a fully scaled-out Big Data Analytics platform using technologies such as Hadoop, Real-time SQL Engine, R, Tableau and MicroStrategy.

·         Produced the first Industry Standard Big Data Analytics (TMF GB979, Big Data Analytics Guidebook), defining a Big Data Analytics Reference Model and 34 business use cases to guide communication service providers to unleash the value of Big Data throughout their operations. It also defines a clear path on how to realize the value of Big Data from use cases to the right technologies and information sources.

·         Led all customer-championed research projects with frequent engagement of communication service providers’ technical and management teams.

·         Managed a team of architects to develop and deploy Location-Based Service enablement platform for large EMEA operators.

·         Led the IP Video monitoring VoC, research and prototype architecture design for over-the-top adaptive streaming video. The solution works across various adaptive streaming video standards (HTTP Live, NetFlix, MS Smooth Stream, DASH). The research has resulted in 2 IPR filings with USPTO.

·         Authored major Customer Experience Management standard for TMF

·         Invited as industry speaker for premium industry trade shows/events.

·         Chaired the Intellectual Property Committee and achieved 20% year-over-year growth on patent filings. Wrote the Tektronix Intellectual Property Process from scratch and established standard work within the first few months of on-boarding.

Senior Product Line Manager (2010-2011)

·         Managed IMS/Video monitoring solution requirement gathering, validation and development on Tektronix Communication Iris monitoring platform. The product has deployed on multiple Tier 1 North American operators within the first 6 months of development.

·         Mentored new product line manager, completed on-boarding within 3 months.

 

Senior Manager, Iris Software Development (              2009-2010)

·         Led a team of architects, designers and testers to develop the Iris Session Analyzer. This application is the most-used app in a suite of products, working across mobile/fixed technologies (RAN, Core, Voice/Video/Data) and generating more than $100 million of revenue in the first two years.

·         Drove Test Automation on the new platform. The effort was integrated into the SCRUM team Doness Criteria and shortened the regression testing cycle time by 50% while greatly increased software quality by driving down the number of software bugs found after feature delivery

·         Led product development of LTE/VoLTE monitoring solutions for Tier1 MNOs worldwide. Sales of this product exceed $300 million worldwide to-date.

·         Spearheaded the SCRUM agile development process. The process has become the standard work for Tektronix Communications Engineering. Certified as SCRUM Master and Product Owner by SCRUM Alliance.

 

Senior Manager, GeoProbe Development (2008-2009)

·         Managed development program with more than 300 developers on three continents.

·         Led teams of managers and architects to develop and maintain a product that generates more than $200 million revenue per year.

·         Responsible for coordinating with internal organizations such as Product Line Management and Product Marketing to deliver on time with high quality critical customer commitments.

 

Senior Manager, Architecture (2007-2008)

·         Led a team of managers/architects responsible for architecture of Tektronix Unified Assurance Product Line.

·         Managed 30-plus person development team and million-dollar budget.

·         Managed/Architected Tektronix Gi/IP/VoIP/IPTV network monitoring Triple Play solutions. The solution was the most scalable solution to that day, monitoring up to 600 IPTV broadcast channels and thousands of VOD streams simultaneously on one device.

·         Mentored junior developers and development teams and provided internal formal training.
